2008 is the International Year of the Potato!
The United Nations General Assembly declared the year 2008 as the International Year of the Potato
(IYP), adopting a resolution to focus world attention on the importance of the potato in providing
food security and alleviating poverty.

education to children in more than 150 countries around the the world. Each month,
